My Story

Hi! I’m Gabby. Growing up as the youngest and only daughter in a Chinese-Indonesian family with traditional values, my parents wanted to mold me into a typical obedient Asian daughter.. to wear pink dresses, to always be prim and proper, and to eventually marry off to someone who would take care of me… Well, unfortunately for them and fortunately for me, these limitations they had set on me only fueled my curiosity. It seems that since a young age, I’ve always wanted to try and experience everything at least once. From sports, music, cooking, painting, computers, I was interested in learning, experiencing and understanding EVERYTHING. My outgoing personality also allowed me to connect deeper with individuals from those different fields, and understanding what makes each of them successful in their own fields.

This unbridled curiosity led me to feeling like i’m jack of all trades, master of none.

Background & Qualifications

As I approached university, I was confused as to which major I wanted to focus on. I knew I wanted a balance between data/logic/structure and creativity. I ended up graduating with a Bachelor of Business and Commerce from Monash University, with a double major in Marketing and Business Statistics & Econometrics.

After graduation, due to my natural aptitude in connecting with people, I ended up spending the next 10 years in client-facing roles relating to Sales & Business Development in different industries such as Real Estate, Recruitment, and Technology. My last role before answering my calling was Chief of Staff for a Unicorn Payment Gateway company in Singapore. This role was a individual contributor, generalist role mainly responsible to drive important initiatives for the company.

The Path

It was in this role as Chief of Staff that I fell into a depression and started getting panic attacks. The alienating nature of the role and ever-expanding job scope was too overwhelming. I resented having to wake up and found myself procrastinating. At this time I was already speaking to a therapist for about 2 years, but I needed to try another method that would help me fix the issue quicker. This is when I discovered hypnotherapy. In one session alone, all the negativity I felt towards work was neutralised and I was able to perform 100% at work again.

I continued to work on this role until I realized that I was putting my energy everyday into work that does not align with my soul’s calling. Throughout my corporate work experience, I realized that the part that was most rewarding to me was being consultative and facilitating change in the individuals instead of closing deals or projects.

So I took the plunge, quit my corporate job, sold most of my possessions to start over. It wasn’t clear at the time what modality in psychotherapy I was going to pursue, I just knew I wanted to commit my life into helping others.

Now I am a certified Holistic Healing Hypnotherapist (HHHypnosis), and I help individuals work on a range of issues from Anxiety, Phobias, Productivity, Relationship, Addiction, cPTSD, and many more.

After deepening my spiritual practices, my gifts of energy work has also come online. I am able to move energy, changing energy states and channeling universal energy (prana - chi - ki).

My Approach

I believe that to truly live a joyous, fulfilling life, people just need to be allowed to be who they truly are - to utilize the innate gifts and passions that life has blessed them with. However, our genetics, upbringing and challenges often have imprinted limiting beliefs upon us. My goal is to help you uncover and release those limiting beliefs so you are empowered to reach your true potentials.

The wisdom already exists within you.
